USA Rehab was founded in 1998. In the early years, USA Rehab specialized in basic home medical supplies and bathroom safety equipment. By working with clients in their homes and experiencing almost every accessibility or equipment problem possible, we slowly developed into a comprehensive home medical equipment and accessible modification service company.
USA Rehab is a durable medical equipment company. USA Rehab operates under industry standards and specifications. USA Rehab is owned and operated by Shara Anderson (pictured at left), a licensed occupational therapist, certified assistive technology practitioner (ATP), and a rehab technology supplier (RTS).
USA Rehab is also a Maryland State licensed contractor specializing in accessible home 
modifications. Since 1998, USA Rehab has assessed, designed, developed, and implemented a wide variety of strategies and solutions to overcome barriers in the home. USA Rehab uses universal design concepts and principles when designing and implementing accessibility modifications. An example of this unique skill set is illustrated in the inclusive ramp design on a house in Pikesville, MD. (Pictured at right). In lieu of building a highly visible ramp on the front of the house, the ground was elevated with dirt and the ramp was constructed behind the porch railing giving the impression of a front porch.
